- The St. Mark the Evangelist Mission in Tinambac was established around the 2010s by Brother John, who was baptized into the Orthodox Church by Archimandrite Philemon while working in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Upon returning home to Tinambac, the community grew from his family to include relatives and others. The mission was originally under the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and is now under the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate).
