- Trinity Cathedral is located at one of the busiest intersections - at the intersection of Sovetskaya (formerly Troitskaya) and Udmurtskaya (formerly Thirteenth) streets. And this place belongs to the temple from the very foundation of the Izhevsk plant - at first there was a wooden chapel, then a stone church. Today, next to the temple is the Ice Palace, known to all residents of the city, but the old-timers still remember how it took the place of the Eastern cemetery of the Izhevsk Arms Plant. The cathedral is one of the oldest cathedrals in Izhevsk and the entire Izhevsk and Udmurt diocese. In 2014, in November, the Cathedral turns 200 years old. This is only for a stone church, the throne of which was consecrated on November 02, 1814 by Archpriest Zakhary Lyatushevich. The Trinity wooden chapel itself, which burned down during the famous Izhevsk fire, was built much earlier.
