A warm stone church with one altar in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was built in 1860, and the parish was opened in 1857. Apparently, the temple was erected mainly at the expense of a local landowner. In 1897, Bishop of Tambov and Shatsk Alexander surveyed the churches of the Kozlov district. Visiting with. Aleksandrovka, he noted the zeal of the parishioners for the splendor of their church, approved the singing of the local peasant choir of singers. Thirteen years later, p. Bishop Kirill of Tambov and Shatsk visited Alexandrovka. The account of this trip says that “the warm, stone temple of this village has a beautiful architecture in the form of a ship; with its external and internal structure, magnificent iconostasis and its purity made a good impression on the Archpastor. The church operated until the mid-30s of the XX century. From that time until the 90s, the church building was used as a granary. In 1995, after a long desolation, the restoration of the St. Nicholas Church began with. Alexandrovka. This was done on the initiative of A.A. Makarov. The restoration of the temple was carried out mainly by the state farm. But it was impossible to do this without the help of the regional administration "Selkhozkhimiya", which was headed by V.F. Krasnobaev. A huge amount of work was carried out during the year: the upper part of the church was restored (more precisely, it was built anew, and this is the masonry, the roof, the dome), the doors were replaced, the frames were repaired and glazed. For several decades, the church building functioned as a granary. When they cleaned out all the garbage that had collected over the years, a huge pit was formed, reaching a depth of 3 meters. To eliminate it, they brought in soil, then concreted the floors, and when more than half a century of dust was washed off with the help of fire engines, murals from the Gospel stories appeared before our eyes. The walls were whitewashed, but in such a way as to preserve the paintings of the late 19th century.
