- The stone church was built by parishioners in 1879 - 1887 according to the project of the engineer - architect V. Zalessky and consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The parish of St. Nicholas Church included the village of Novaya Khmelinka, St. Khmelinka, Komarevka, Shishkino. There was a church school for women and guardianship at the temple. The clerk consisted of a priest, a deacon and a psalmist. Closed in the 30s. XX century, again transferred to believers in 1991.
