- Ὁ πρῶτος Ναός πού κτίσθηκε τό 1951 ὑπέστη σημαντικές φθορές ἀπό τόν σεισμό τοῦ 1978 καί γιά τό λόγο αὐτό κατεδαφίστηκε. Στή θέση του ἀνεγέρθηκε νέος Ἱερός Ναός ἐπ’ ὀνόματι τῶν Ἁγίων Ἀναργύρων. Παράλληλα μέ τή συμμετοχή στή λατρευτική ζωή τῆς Ἐκκλησίας ἡ ἐνορία ἐπιτελεῖ φιλανθρωπικό ἔργο. Καταβάλλεται προσπάθεια γιά τόν καταρτισμό τῶν ἐνοριτῶν μέ τήν λειτουργία κατηχητικοῦ σχολείου καί κύκλου μελέτης Ἁγίας Γραφῆς. Κάθε Τετάρτη τελεῖται ἡ ἱερά παράκληση τῶν Ἁγίων Ἀναργύρων. Πρόσφατα μάλιστα φιλοξενήθηκαν 50 παιδιά ἀπό τό Ἑλληνικό Παιδικό Χωριό ἀπό τό Φίλυρο Θεσσαλονίκης, καθώς καί παιδιά τοῦ νηπιαγωγείου καί τοῦ δημοτικοῦ σχολείου τῶν Νέων Κερδυλλίων ὅπου τούς προσφέρθηκε πλούσιο γεῦμα καί πολλά δῶρα. Τό 2004 ἐγκαινιάσθηκε ἀπό τόν Σεβασμιώτατο Μητροπολίτη Σερρῶν καί Νιγρίτης κ. Θεολόγο τό ἐκκλησιαστικό μουσεῖο τοῦ Ἱεροῦ Ναοῦ, στό ὁποῖο φυλλάσονται φορητές εἰκόνες, ἱερά σκεύη, παλαίτυπα βιβλία κ.λ.π. Στήν ἐνορία ὑπάγονται καί τά Ἱερά Παρεκκλήσια τῶν Ἁγίων Γεωργίου και Ραφαήλ, Ἁγίων Ἀναργύρων Παλαιῶν Κάτω Κερδυλλίων καί Ἁγίων Θεοδώρων Ἄνω Κερδυλλίων. Ἐφημέριος τοῦ Ναοῦ εἶναι ὁ Οἰκονόμος Μιχαήλ Θεοχαρίδης.
