- The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Siniloan, Laguna, Philippines, formerly known as the Holy Cross Orthodox Chapel, was founded in 1980 to serve the local Orthodox Christian community. The parish was originally part of the Orthodox Metropolis of Hong Kong & Southeast Asia, providing regular liturgical services, catechesis, and community outreach in the Laguna region. Over the decades, the chapel became a recognized center for Orthodox worship, celebrating the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on September 14 and other major feast days according to the Byzantine rite. In 2020, the parish transitioned its canonical affiliation to the Russian Orthodox Church, coming under the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Southeast Asia Diocese. Since the transfer, the chapel continues to serve its parishioners, offering Divine Liturgy, sacraments, and pastoral care while maintaining its historic dedication to the Holy Cross and commitment to Orthodox Christian life in the Philippines.
