History:
In 1962 (on the 27th of May) the chapel was consecrated for Sts. Peter and Paul. In 1987 when the Sts. Peter and Paul Church of Tornio was taken back to use, the name of St. Arsenius of Konevits was added to the name of the Sts. Peter and Paul Chapel of Martinniemi. The feast day of the chapel also started to be celebrated on the feast day of St. Arsenius of Konevits (on the 12th of June). The chapel was taken out of use in 2015 and finally it was demolished in 2019.
