- The Russian Orthodox Mission to Hawaii was founded in 1915 by New-Martyr Protopresbyter Jacob Korchinky., since that time, the Russian Orthodox Church has shipped and flown priests to the Islands to serve the Orthodox faithful here. The Holy Theotokos of Iveron Russian Orthodox Church was founded in the 1970’s as the St Mark of Ephesus Russian Orthodox Mission Parish before being rededicated in 1984, under the heavenly protection of the Mother of God in honor of her Wonderworking and Myrrh-streaming Iveron Icon in Montreal. O Most Holy Theotokos, save us!
