1917
History:
There were only 2 Churches in the world dedicated to St. Ellien (Elian or Julian) of Homs, Syria--the original church in the city of Homs, Syria where St. Ellien lived and was martyred and St. Ellien in Brownsville, PA. Reports are that the recent fighting in Syria either greatly damaged or destroyed the original church which would mean that St. Ellien of Brownsville, PA is now the only remaining church dedicated to this Saint who was an Unmercenary Physician and Martyr for the Orthodox Faith
